Calicut university has standardized the moderation marks to be alloted per semester paper.
Maximum Moderation per exams( eg: 6th semester regular exam) = 30 marks
Maximum Marks that can be given to a paper = 10 marks
According to new rule as a added advantage, if a student has failed in only one paper, 50% of the pass mark will be alloted to the student.
ie. if a student failed in only one subject with marks more than 20 (for 40 pass mark) the rest of the marks will be given as moderation.
